What makes a shipment expedited
Expedited freight moves direct. There is no terminal, no cross-dock, and no waiting for the trailer to fill — the truck is dispatched for your shipment and drives to the delivery point. For the tightest windows, team drivers alternate at the wheel so the truck keeps rolling.
That directness is what compresses transit. A lane that takes several days through an LTL network can often be covered overnight or the same day when it moves expedited.
Right-sized equipment, not just big trucks
Urgent does not always mean a 53' trailer. Depending on weight and dimensions, we will dispatch a cargo van, a sprinter, a straight truck or a tractor-trailer — whatever gets your freight there fastest at the lowest sensible cost.
Matching the vehicle to the load matters: putting a single skid on a full trailer wastes money, while under-sizing the equipment risks a second trip.

How quickly can you get a truck to me?
In the Greater Toronto Area we can often arrange same-day pickup. Outside the GTA it depends on where the nearest suitable equipment is sitting. Call us with the pickup postal code and we will tell you honestly what is achievable rather than promise a time we cannot hold.
How much more does expedited cost?
Expedited carries a premium because the truck is dedicated to your freight and often runs empty in one direction to reach you. The gap narrows as shipment size grows. We will quote expedited alongside standard service so you can weigh the cost against the cost of being late.
Can you handle expedited cross-border?
Yes. Cross-border expedited runs into and out of the U.S. are among our most common urgent moves. Customs paperwork needs to be in order before the truck reaches the border, and we will walk you through what is required.
